Well after an unfortunate run in with some orange juice, we decided to release the butterflies early. Here is one of our staff letting one of our reluctant butterflies go.
Today we had a visit from Gary Rosario, to help cut some of our children's hair. Many children who have sensory issues or special needs find having their hair cut a traumatic experience, and we wanted to help parents and children to overcome this, by staging our own mini hair salon session. It went great with many parents taking up the offer. Thank you Gary for all your help today, you have done more than just cut hair, you have helped our children feel happy and safe.
Our new friends are growing well. They now look like real caterpillars. And are very hungry caterpillars indeed. They are shedding their exoskeletons, spinning silky webs to protect themselves and growing every day. Soon they will be ready to enter their chrysalides and become butterflies.
